Software for Starving Students

General news   03-01-2007 by hjkiddk   (0)

Quote
Software for Starving Students is a free collection of programs organized for students (but available to anyone). We've gathered a list of best-in-class programs onto one CD (one disc for OS X, one for Windows), including a fully-featured office suite, a cutting-edge web browser, multi-media packages, academic tools, utilities and more.

This is a great idea, just download and burn the ISO file, and you have 48 free programs.
Easy as 1-2-3.
The easiest way to burn the ISO file is to use one of the free programs here at SnapFiles

Although comparable to Earth2150? in many significant respects, it does contain aspects that are unique. These include various radar technologies, a greater focus on artillery and counter-battery technologies, more frequent in-game cinematic updates as gameplay progress, as well as a different vehicle design method

Since a while I am in my midlife crisis, thinking a lot about the purpose of my life, what will remain and things like that. Since I don't have a specific talent to make my mark nor even managed to arrange some kids to reflect my existence or even have a beloved one that will never forget me I guess I am just one of many who just will be forgotten..That sucks, but instead of endulging my self into depression I desperatly started looking for a solution and I came up with this idea...
I could have written that, execept for the last part... I don't get original ideas...

It's name is Fauxto, and the coolest thing about this online app, is it ability to work with layers, just like photshop.
It's far from finished, but it might become an important player in the years to come.
In the future we probably won't need to install large, and pretty expensive, programs like MS Office.
Google have already introduced their first online "Office pack" called ?Docs and Spreadsheets?

Mars As Art

Spacecraft have imaged the surface of the planet Mars for nearly four decades, providing insights into the history, climate and geology of our nearest neighbor. This exhibition showcases selected images returned by spacecraft from NASA and European Space Agency, which have been selected for their aesthetic rather than scientific value. These images are actual images of Mars, taken from orbit and from the surface by spacecraft that have visited there.
