Somebody That I Used to Know
5 persons + 1 guitar = cool
Walk off the Earth and Sarah Blackwood perform a cover of Gotye's "Somebody that I used to know".
Imho better than the original.
The original:
Another good cover is by Ingrid Michaelson
She plays all the instruments in this one

The Black Keys - Lonely Boy
Down and Dirty Blues Rock
It’s too facile to call the Black Keys counterparts of the White Stripes: they share several surface similarities -- their names are color-coded, they hail from the Midwest, they’re guitar-and-drum blues-rock duos -- but the Black Keys are their own distinct thing, a tougher, rougher rock band with a purist streak that never surfaces in the Stripes. But that’s not to say that the Black Keys are blues traditionalists: even on their 2002 debut, The Big Come Up, they covered the Beatles’ psychedelic classic “She Said She Said,” indicating a fascination with sound and texture that would later take hold on such latter-day albums as 2008’s Attack & Release, where guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney teamed up with sonic architect Danger Mouse. In between those two records, the duo established the Black Keys as a rock & roll band with a brutal, primal force, and songwriters of considerable depth, as evidenced on such fine albums as 2003’s Thickfreakness and 2004’s Rubber Factory.

Emma Acs - Fever
Epic psychedelic pop with a mean sitar
Emma Acs is an amazing 18 year old talent with a fantastic flair for good tunes Her outstanding voice and bittersweet texts makes you think of the times when Serge Gainsbourg seduced young France Gall and Nico was swinging the Tambourine for Velvet Underground.
With a huge love for the 60's French pop divas, swinging London's psych and New Yorks experimental underground Emma Acs pulls the strings together and makes her own universe. Her characteristic voice is the center of the songs where true pop perfection meets evil. It's simple songs with strong tunes. It's minimalism, odd tonality and controlled chaos. Emma Acs says, "There is no limits in making music as long as you let the melody lead the way".

Blackshine scans
It seems scanners are a dying race. The quality is no match for the digital images released nowaday.
So this is a tribute to one of the best; Blackshine
Blackshine may not be the best scanner, but imho he always finds the best material, with the best photographers and best models.

Zididada - Take It All
Danish indie band Zididada's "Take It All" have been chosen to be the official theme song for WWE Judgment Day 2008. This is without a doubt the best music i've heard from Zididada. More rock, less pop.... Keep it up, guys.
This is an totally unofficial video made by a fan.

On Mirror's Edge - First Person (non)Shooter
Upcoming DICE game with a lot of promise.
Considering the potential of On Mirror's Edge, i'm surprised there's so little attention on it ???
Look like it could be just as fun and innovative a game as Portal.
Stop running, start thinking !

DVD library in Vista Media Center
If you want a cool DVD jukebox for your ripped DVD's, there's a neat little hack to make a DVD gallery in your Vista MCE.

Go to channel8.msdn.com for the guide.
If you need covers for the collection cdcovers.cc is a good source.
If you want to add extra information about the movies there's also a solution for that. Go to avsforum.com and download DVD Library Manager. Personally i prefer the information from IMDB.
Good luck

CrossLoop - VNC for dummies
Screen Sharing made easy. Connect any two PC's on Earth, without changing any firewall or router settings. It's so easy that even i could make it work. ![]()
You download 2 MB, install, run, host and give the "Access Code" to the person that's supposed to help you. Doesn't get easier than that.

VectorMagic
This is one of the most useful online conversion sites i've come across so far, and it's free.
It can convert a bitmap image to a vector image, and it does it better than Adobe Live Trace and Corel PowerTRACE.
